What am I talking about this time?
Ohh, you know I’m gonna tell ya!
I found this article titled, A Black, LGBTQ Connecticut pastor leads nearly 600 New England churches. He has a gift for all who need it.
Ohh no…
Ohh yes!
You know, for a nation that wanted to banish racism, haven’t we resurrected it from the grave, now more than ever before?
I mean, why are we talking black and white here?
Can you imagine if the title said, “white” instead of black…
People would be outraged!
It seems like we always want to resurrect our past national sins to promote… Something.
In the end, we know what the article’s all about. It’s not about promoting Christianity. It’s about promoting a diverse and broken ideology…
Most of us have come to realize this whole woke agenda is a complete failure. Go look at the L.A. fires and look at the leaders. They’re woke homosexuals. Were they the best candidate for the job, or just the best homosexual, transgender, LGBTQRS for the job?
Who knows.
They certainly weren’t the best people for the job, that’s for certain.
Now look, you got me off track.
Back to this church article I found.
The only thing you get from that title, is the pastor is black and he’s a homosexual.
How exactly does that express our faith, how does it promote Christianity?
It doesn’t.
All it does is divide the people a little more.
Let me share a quote with you from that article…

The LGBT pastor said,
“Our oldest church in the Southern New England Conference is 405 years old,” Goodwin said. “And I often say when I visit our churches that are celebrating 400, 300, 175-year anniversaries, you know, when you were founded, I wouldn’t even be allowed in your pulpit. I’m not even sure I would be allowed to be here in the space. And so, not only am I in the space, but I’m serving as the spiritual leader of these 600 churches. To me, that ripples. I think it impacts.”
Think about that…
400 years ago, these churches would have never allowed a homosexual to lead them.
Why?
Homosexuality is a sin.
Yet, as a culture, we’ve whitewashed it.
We’ve said, “Hey, it’s okay to be gay.”
Even worse, our faith has whitewashed it to a very large degree. I mean, we’re talking about 600 churches that not only think it’s okay to be gay, but it’s okay for a homosexual to be the spiritual leader for hundreds of churches!
Doesn’t that just spell doom for our faith?
I hate to say that, but it’s true.
I mean, this is why people are leaving the faith. This is why people have and continue to to leave organized religion.
He continues…
“For many of our churches who may feel that they’re aging or that they don’t have a relevant purpose in this world, Find Hope Now has kind of given them this boost of energy to say ‘We do have work to do as laws are changing, as anti-trans bills are being formed, as there’s more homelessness and loneliness, we might be able to do something … to offer something that’s seemingly absent unfortunately in our day and age,” Goodwin said.
The point…
Basically, the last generation of real Christians are getting older and their place isn’t being taken in the pew. So, since the government is changing laws to allow homosexuals to get married, then heck, the church should too!
That’ll fill up the church!
Can you believe this?
The church isn’t an extension of the government.
The church is supposed to be a witness of God. The church is supposed to promote spiritual correction, direction, and guidance. Not sway with the whims of the world. Yet, it has, and here we are.
“And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.”
1 John 5:19
Do we even know what it means to be “of God” anymore?
Blessings…
